Reviews

From the Students

Feedback collected from students across the three Neuronova tracks. Names and locations reflect the learner community as of May–June 2025.

SK

Siriporn Kanchanarat

Bangkok, TH — Data Analyst

"I'd been putting off learning Python for about two years because I didn't know where to start. The Fundamentals track solved that problem — it was clear, well-paced and didn't assume I already knew things I didn't. The pandas section in particular was something I was able to start using in my actual job within a few weeks of finishing it."

PP

Pongpat Phongsathorn

Chiang Mai, TH — Software Developer

"The Deep Learning track is genuinely challenging. I came in expecting it to be easier than it was — the training dynamics section in particular took me longer to work through than the estimate suggested. That said, the instructor support was solid. I probably sent six or seven questions through the platform and always got a useful reply within the next working day."

Nattapon Jantaraksa

Bangkok, TH — ML Engineer

"I took the Computer Vision Intensive after finishing the deep learning track. The sprint format works well if you can commit to the hours — the timeframe is real, not padded. By the end I had a working classifier that I actually used as a portfolio piece when applying for my current role."

Wipa Lertchaipan

Phuket, TH — Product Manager

"I'm not a developer by background, so I was uncertain whether the Fundamentals track would be accessible. It was — but it required genuine effort. The online format worked well for me given that I'm based outside Bangkok. The community was also more active than I expected for a smaller school."

Thanakrit Namuang

Ho Chi Minh City, VN — Backend Developer

"I had tried two other deep learning courses before this one. Both left me with theoretical knowledge but no ability to actually implement and debug a model. The Neuronova track is different in that the code is the lesson — you're implementing things from the first module. Still working through the specialization but enjoying it more than I expected."

AS

Arisa Suksawat

Bangkok, TH — Research Assistant

"Completed the CV Intensive in five weeks while working full time. That required keeping weekends dedicated to it, which the timeframe does imply. The content on transfer learning and fine-tuning was particularly well done — concrete, practical and well-explained. The sprint project was a useful way to pull everything together."

Case Studies

Student Journeys in Detail

Three examples of how students have moved through the Neuronova tracks and what they were able to do afterwards.

KC

Kanchana Chantarasuwan

Operations Analyst → Data Scientist, Bangkok

Challenge

Kanchana had been working with spreadsheets for three years and wanted to move into a data science role. She had no programming background and wasn't sure whether the Fundamentals track was too advanced or too basic for her situation.

Approach

She enrolled in AI Development Fundamentals and worked through it at roughly eight hours per week over seven weeks. The pandas and scikit-learn sections aligned closely with her existing Excel work, which gave her a practical anchor for the material.

Outcome

Eight months after completing the Fundamentals track, Kanchana moved into a junior data scientist role at a Bangkok logistics company. She has since started the Deep Learning Specialization.

"The sequencing was the thing that helped most. Nothing appeared before I had the context to understand it."

RS

Ratchapol Sriwong

Backend Developer → ML Engineer, Chiang Mai

Challenge

Ratchapol had strong Python skills but had never worked on machine learning systems. He had tried reading textbooks but found them disconnected from the implementation details he needed to actually build and train models.

Approach

He skipped Fundamentals after a brief assessment conversation with the Neuronova team and entered the Deep Learning Specialization directly. The PyTorch modules were straightforward given his programming background — the challenge came in the training dynamics material.

Outcome

Completed the specialization in nine weeks. His capstone project involved training a sentiment classifier on Thai-language social media data. The project became part of his interview portfolio.

"The debugging sections were what I'd been missing. Understanding why a model isn't learning is a completely different skill from knowing what a neural network is."

MP

Malee Phichitkul

Computer Science Graduate → Vision Engineer, Bangkok

Challenge

Malee had university-level ML knowledge but no practical experience with image data and computer vision systems. She needed to build something tangible and demonstrate it in order to apply for roles in the Thai manufacturing sector.

Approach

Enrolled in the Computer Vision Intensive and worked through it in five weeks at about twelve hours per week. The transfer learning module using ResNet was the most useful section for her specific goal.

Outcome

Her sprint project — a defect detection classifier built on a public manufacturing image dataset — was shown in two interviews. She received a job offer within six weeks of completing the intensive.

"It was exactly the right format for where I was. Focused, practical and short enough that I could finish it while job hunting."
